How to take part
- The race event will take place over the week from 6am 6th June – 10pm on 14th June.
- It is a virtual event so runners will need to run the event, record their time and submit to me via the following method:
-Firstly go to Strava and find the Trail Monkey Strava Club
– Join the club
-Decide on the race option you would like to do – 5km, 10km
-Record your run you do either with a GPS watch or the Strava app
-Once complete save the run as a race in Strava
-Ensure the race is set to public
-Download this app and submit your race time, following the prompt to submit your Name, Date of the Run, Distance, Time taken (hh:mm:ss format) and a link to the Strava run.
The Route
The course will not be marked however we have run the course and provided a gps file here for runners to recce the course in the next couple of weeks before the challenge starts.
There are loads of apps that can be loaded on to your phone and the gpx file above can be loaded in. I would advise going to look at the course with this gpx file loaded so that you know the course when you go to run it for the race.
